Thanksgiving Week Wrap Up

This Thanksgiving I was especially thankful that all four of us were together.
We headed to Dallas very early on Wednesday morning. I had alot of cooking to do with my mom.

I realize this is not the most flattering picture of me, but this was the highlight of my week!

We even got Marisa cooking!!!
And because one day of being together and eating isn't enough, we went out that night for dinner with most of my family

Me and my amazingly beautiful sisters!! I am so lucky to have each one of them in my life!!

Me and my sweet baby girl!

Gianna, mom, dad and my brothers in law, Corey and Anthony with Reyno( we missed you Byron)

Here are most of the cousins!!

I am sad to say that I did not take a single picture at either Thanksgiving dinner we went to. The only picture that I took was later that night during the Texas/A&M game. In case there was any question, we are a family of LONGHORN fans!!! What a great game it was. Here is the crew that stayed back for the game
I didn't notice til later that my BIL, Corey, had his guns up. We still love you, Corey!!
In fine Weir girl tradition, we braved the mall on Black Friday. We started the day out by having a wonderful mother/daughter lunch at Bistro N. Boy was it yummy!!!!

Me and Mo!!

Mom's and our girls. We can't wait for baby Madeline to be with us next year!! Mom and Gianna were both working that day. We missed them very much!

By Saturday we were ready to head home. We made one last stop at the Cheesecake Factory for lunch. It was so yummy. I tried to get a picture of the cheesecake we ate, but I was not fast enough.
These two did not give me a chance!!!

We had such a great time with both of our families. Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving.
This week we are getting the house ready for Christmas!!!

Army Football

This weekend we went up to Dallas for the Army/UNT football game. It was such a fun day. We ran into lots of people we haven't seen in a long time.
We started off with the Army tailgate party.

As we walking around, we ran into Jackson's best buddy from when we lived in Kansas almost four years ago. They were very excited to see each other again!

Here comes the Army football team!!!!

Marisa and Jackson having fun in the stands!!

So happy to be together!!

The football team singing the Alma Mater after winning the game. This is so beautiful to hear!

Here we are after the game with our very sweet friends, David and Shelley Eisenlohr!

It was so exciting to be at the game and around all the cadets and the great traditions of West Point. I think I am finally getting excited about moving back there this summer.

Homecoming Mum

Last night was homecoming at our high school. Many, many years ago when I was in school, mums were a big part of the celebration. As I'm finding out, It seems to be a Texas thing.
I wanted Marisa to be apart of this great Texas tradition so I decided to make one for her.
For the record, the last time I made one of these was for my little brother's homecoming date back in the mid 90's.
So I set out for Hobby Lobby and got everything I needed to create my masterpiece. This is what I came home with...

After several hours and many attempts to make it the perfect homecoming mum, this is how it turned out.

I still made a few more changes and I think she really liked it!!

Here she is with Jackson before we left for the game. We had a fun night and I can't wait to do it again next year!!!

Please Pray

I just wanted to let everyone know that Reyno is OK. He was at Ft. Hood this morning, but was gone by the time the shootings occurred. Please pray for all the soldiers and their families who were effected by this horrible tragedy. It has been a very overwhelming day, and I am so grateful to God for Reyno's safety.
